Spider Woman : Agent of SHIELD
just a quick doodle before I got to work earlier. I think its time Jessica Drew got an update, with a new series on the way and all this controversy over her bum, so I took it upon myself to do so.
I took some elements from Kris Anka’s redesign, some Elements from Super Soldier Steve Rogers / Cap’s Movie Suit, and a few from the Ultimate Black Widow. I gave her an updated mask with the mark on her forehead looking more like a third Spider eye, and would have some fun spy-like features. Her mask would also be removable, because not always do you need a mask if you’re a super spy! Also, I didn’t draw them but she’d wear black foot wear, no heels, no wedges, and she’d have some knee and elbow padding because climbing would be hard on the joints.
Overall the suit would now have her on par to look more tactical, like Black Widow, Thew All-New Captain America and The Guardians of the Galaxy, then her old 70’s spandex.
Moonstone as Ms. Marvel
For the record, Dark Avengers was the best company wide crossover at Marvel.
Nothing fancy, I’ve been absent for a week, but last night I saw Alvvays live again, and they were just as amazing as they were at NXNE. They even played my favourite song
So here was a little doodle I did when I was testing out my brush pens.
Smasher & Cannonball
My first attempt at digital oil painting after a teacher told me in High School I should stick to markers. Her head is dwarfed but I’m kinda pleased with the end result.
Smasher is probably the best Avenger right now (Widow and She-Hulk aside of course), and as a New Mutants fan, I love me some Cannonball. During the Infinity arc, they had this make out scene and it always makes me think it should be a movie and it should have a good soundtrack.
So I watched Guardians of the Galaxy last night and it was everything I wanted it to be, the only downside is no Mantis. So here she is as I remember her from the series with a little groot.
Kate & Kenia, 2014
Okay so one of my favourite co-workers and good friends will be leaving Y&R Canada at the end of the week. Her name is Kenia, and she and her partner Kate have been begging me to turn them into Superheroes, so I did.
They wanted to be called Salt & Pepper, so thats the “S” and “P” on their outfits in case anyone was wondering. I did try to give them kinda cool Cloak & Dagger like powers with Kenia shooting out dark Kirby dots and Kate turning into dust.
April & Donatello, 2014
so I started this monday, and just finished it up today while working on some stuff for work. I know, I should have coloured… anyways, these are based off my old action figures. If you have a Donatello from 1988 and you don’t want it, hook me up with yours, mine is in my garage somewhere.
Archie, Marry Me, 2014
I was at NXNE on Saturday for Mac Demarco and before he played this really dope band ALVVAYS played. Since I loved them so much I went back and stalked them on the internet. And today at work I had 20 minutes to kill so I made a little poster, and because I like gifs so much, it’s animated.
